Of Tuscola
135 years and still going strong!
Instituted February 8, 1872
The Odd Fellows of Cass River have always been active. Most members travel long distances to be at meetings and lodge events. They have about 20 members both men and women working for a common goal. They have started to grow and the new Vice Grand is a new member they want to keep these members active and working in the lodge. The new members will bring new ideas to help them bring odd fellowship to a new generation.
These Odd Fellows have a lot to boast about (They won’t do it so I will).
Three Past Grand Masters have come from their lodge Allen Wescoat, George Fogelsonger, and Elliot (Butch) Bracket. They have Bingo every Saturday night and with the help of the Rebekahs they have dinners twice a month.
Card parties and a lot of friendship help round out the growth of this lodge that has been around for so many years. The members are active throughout the state of Michigan they are at many events of other lodges, and help whenever needed. They are always willing to help with memorials, visiting and even to installing lodges that are long distances away. Most of all they have a hand of friendship always extended to all. Lodges like this deserve to last as long as members keep them in their hearts and minds. In the words of a TV series “Live Long and Prosper”
